And just like that, I finally got the call to move to Puerto Rico. After months of build up, hurry up and wait, and a lot of uncertainty, I was given 7 days notice to pack up my things and fly south - an exciting reality that still doesn't seem real.

My week in Cleveland before my big move was filled with friends, family, food, and more drinks than advisable. Basically, the best send off that I could have asked for. Thanks to everyone who made me feel loved (and missed!) in the time leading up to my deployment. I so wish I could have packed each and every one of you into my suitcase to join me on this journey.

So here it is - an official welcome to my blog, which will hopefully give you all a taste of what my *new* life is like in San Juan!
